Promotion & Funding
Many people and groups on campus are already planning and creating programming to celebrate these months and days. Please reach out to let us know so we can promote your programs on our website and be generally supportive in any way that is helpful. There is also funding available for such events accessible through the SDEA funding application.
Honoring Our Roots and Culture Committee
Our goal is to use the monthly themes as an opportunity to highlight and recognize identities, cultures, and histories that are often overlooked. These identities are lived and commemorated year round, in relationship and intersecting with multiple other identities in our lives. Our work seeks to intentionally celebrate our roots while in community with each other. These celebrations are not time-limited; they are a starting point for education, community engagement, and a marker of our commitment to diversity.
