Cantor Fitzgerald Gallery
Since 2015, artist Guadalupe Rosales has been building an archive of vernacular photographs and ephemera connected to Latinx culture in Los Angeles. Her projects exist as both archives of physical objects and crowd-sourced digital archives, assembled on her widely followed Instagram accounts. Details »

The varied research interests of Professor of Physics and Astronomy Suzanne Amador Kane delve into soft condensed matter physics and statistical physics, but it is her work in biological physics—which uses the tools of physics to better understand living organisms—that has attracted widespread attention in recent years.

Five Fords earned Fulbrights for the 2018–2019 year, putting the College in the company of fewer than 50 undergraduate liberal arts institutions in the country with the highest number of student grants.

The Friend in Residence program brings gifted and experienced Quakers to campus for extended interactions with students, staff, faculty, and the community to stimulate reflection on the connections between academic pursuits and “letting one’s life speak.”

Haverford’s Visual Culture, Arts, and Media (VCAM) facility houses the College’s Interdisciplinary Minor in Visual Studies, the Haverford Innovations Program, and the John B. Hurford ’60 Center for the Arts and Humanities.

All physics and astronomy majors have the opportunity to perform meaningful and potentially publishable research, working closely with our faculty in fields such as quantum computing, observational cosmology, nonlinear physics and fluid dynamics, extragalactic astronomy, biophysics, and nanoscience.

Haverford has more than 125 student groups that publish magazines, host symposia, sing a cappella, discuss religion and spirituality, stay politically active, maintain a system of student self-government, dance, demonstrate and create.
