Haverford hosts guest speakers through programs such as Distinguished Visitors and Young Academic Alumni Lecture Series. These lectures, classroom visits and workshops enhance and supplement the core curriculum.

The Committee for Environmental Responsibility (CER) was created by the students, faculty and staff of Haverford College, and founded on the socially responsible principles of the college. You can use their Building Dashboard to track real-time electricity use in buildings around campus that have been fitted with special meters.
Meyer joined the excavation of the ancient Sumerian city of Nippur in southern Iraq as an artist in 1894. His detailed notebook recording his observations of camp life and the dig site are held by Special Collections.
Anonymous donors have made lead gifts totaling $10 million for the renovation of the Old Gym into an innovative new center for visual culture, arts, and media. The gifts were made in order for design and construction at the heart of campus to move forward this year.
