COOL CLASSES: “Reading Comics and Religion”

"Reading Comics and Religion," which explores how representations of religion arise in comics and graphic novels, is co-taught by religion professors Ken Koltun-Fromm (Haverford) and Yvonne Chireau (Swarthmore), and features a weekly “making” lab with artist-in-residence JT Waldman.

Lives That Speak: Karan Shah '09

KINSC Scientific Imaging Contest

The KINSC Scientific Imaging Contest is an annual competition for student-submitted images from experiments or simulations that are scientifically intriguing as well as aesthetically pleasing. Judging is based on both the quality of the image and the explanation of the underlying science.

Elisabeth Smith '04

Economics major Elisabeth Smith '04 became president and CEO of a machining and parts supplier to the aerospace and power-generation industries in 2014.
