Haverford College alumnus Michael B. Kim '85, through his foundation, the MBK Educational Foundation, has pledged $7.5 million toward construction of a new dormitory that will be sited adjacent to, and constructed in tandem with, another new dorm that received separate funding a year ago.

Samuel Freeman '97 has donated an electric truck to the College for use by Facilities Management and Arboretum staff members. The truck serves as an environmentally conscious alternative to gas-powered golf carts.

Senior Reilly Costigan-Humes is spending the academic year at St. Petersburg University courtesy of the David L. Boren Scholarship, which provides funding for study in countries critical to U.S. security. Costigan-Humes is the first Haverford student to receive this scholarship.
