New Students
Getting Started
Please Note: Updated information for the Class of 2029 will be available in early June 2025.
Your first task is to create an electronic Haverford identity and email account.
New Account Activation (Required)
In early June you'll receive an email from itservicedesk [at] haverford.edu (subject line "Welcome to Haverford College—User Account Setup") with your new user account information, which will allow you to access your Haverford email account as well as many of the password-protected forms you'll need to use before arrival. Instructions for activation will be sent to your personal email address. Activate your Haverford user account as soon as you receive this email.
Contact the IT Service Desk if you have any questions at itservicedesk [at] haverford.edu or (610) 896-1480.
Note: From this point on, all communication from the College will go to your Haverford email account, so use it exclusively for communication with us and check it regularly!
Confirm Personal Details (Required)
Shortly after you activate your new user account, you'll be able to access bionic.haverford.edu to confirm your personal details. You should complete this process as soon as possible after you set up your new user account. You will not be able to access the housing questionnaire until you have confirmed your personal details. Contact the IT Service Desk directly if you have any questions at itservicedesk [at] haverford.edu or (610) 896-1480.
Note:Students should wait one hour before proceeding to their next tasks after confirming their personal details in BIONIC.
Note: If you have a U.S. Social Security Number, you will need it to complete this form.
OneCard (Required)
After you activate your Haverford user account and confirm your personal details, you will be able to register for your OneCard. OneCard is your access to the residence halls and other campus buildings, your library card, and your dining card for the Dining Center (DC) and the COOP.
Please contact onecard [at] brynmawr.edu with any questions regarding the OneCard.
Once registered, log into your OneCard account to upload your photos or manage your card.
OneCards are issued using a student's preferred name. If you do not enter a preferred name into BIONIC, the system will default to your legal name. If your OneCard is issued with a preferred name, you will not be able to use it to establish residency when you vote in Haverford's district, but the state of Pennsylvania does permit other forms of identification. Contact Professor Zach Oberfield (zoberfie [at] haverford.edu) with any questions about voter registration.
Note: To register for a OneCard you must add two zeros (00) to the front of your Student ID, which can be found in BIONIC.
Voter Registration on Campus (Optional)
As college students, those Haverford students who are eligible to vote in the United States may choose whether they would like to register and vote at their educational institution, or at their permanent home address. Students who register at their permanent home address may either travel home to vote, or complete an absentee ballot per their state’s procedures. Choosing between the two registration locations is entirely the decision of each student, and the College only seeks to provide all pertinent information about the options.
Students who have not yet registered, wish to register in Pennsylvania, and are eligible, should complete the online registration form.
