Counseling & Psychological Services

While CAPS provides uniquely tailored services to many students, we recognize that not all students feel helped by CAPS or present with issues that are beyond the scope of our mission. In these cases, we are happy to help students find referrals to appropriate resources in the community.

We provide services to students who are currently enrolled at Haverford College. This means we cannot provide services to the following:

• Alumni
• Incoming students prior to orientation
• Students on leave from Haverford

The following services are examples of specialized care that we do not provide. Please contact us if you need help finding these services.

• Intensive treatment for:
  • Substance abuse
  • Drug addiction
  • Eating disorders
• Intensive outpatient treatment
• Specialty care (EMDR, psychoanalysis, exposure therapies)
• Assessment for service or emotional support animals
• Forensic evaluations
• Neuropsychological evaluations
• Court ordered treatments
• Psychological assessments of fit for third parties (i.e. Peace Corp., Birthright, Governmental Agencies, etc.)
