Senior Thesis Borrowing Privileges
The Library will extend semester-long borrowing privileges to Haverford students writing senior theses. Please allow 48 hours for processing. You will be notified by email when extended borrowing privileges have been granted.
Apply for a Study Carrel
The carrel lottery is held at the beginning of the Fall Semester. Applications for carrels may be picked up and dropped off at Magill Library's Front Desk during the weeks the lottery is being held. Assignments will be emailed or can be obtained by inquiring at the desk by the 3rd week of classes in September. Anyone who does not submit an application during the lottery period will be assigned to the carrels that are left on a first-come, first-served basis.
Please refer to the Application for the rules governing carrel use. Priority for carrels will be determined in the following order:
- Haverford seniors working on a thesis and Haverford students living off-campus (HCA not included).
- Other Haverford students who have specified a preference for a carrel on their application.
- Those Haverford students who applied and could not be given their choice or who did not specify a preference will be randomly assigned a carrel.
