Start by Believing Campaign 4/1
Haverford students, staff, and faculty are invited to stop by the Dining Center on April 1st from 11:30am-1:30pm and sign a Start by Believing pledge. This is an opportunity to make a statement that you will believe survivors who disclose that they have experienced violence. When survivors feel supported, they face less negative health outcomes and improved opportunities for healing. An installation of pledges will be up at the Stokes Auditorium wall throughout April for Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

Survivior love letter writing on 4/9

This is an opportunity to celebrate survivors that was first started by filmmaker and activist, Tan Ikeda in 2012 on the anniversary of her rape where she penned a letter to her younger self that ended with the words: “this is my survivor love letter.” Love letters can be in the form of a poem, a personal monologue, a letter to yourself or someone else, a song, or anything else that comes to your mind.
