A Survey of Color Photography from its Prehistory to the Present Day

Our campus has 200 acres of award-winning architecture and landscaping; more than 50 academic, athletic, and residential buildings; and a nationally recognized arboretum with 400 species of trees and shrubs, a 3.5-acre duck pond, gardens, and wooded areas.

Every Haverford major includes a capstone project. Rory Kennison ’18 wrote a two-act play for the thesis of his independent theater major, and, with the help of seven student actors, presented his production as a poignant staged reading.

“Computer Security: Attacks and Defenses”

Taught by Visiting Assistant Professor of Computer Science Kristopher Micinski, this course offers a broad introduction to the field of computer security from two concurrent perspectives: attacks on systems and defenses against those attacks.

Drawing on the photographic archives of the Museum of Ethnography in Stockholm, Jacqueline Hoàng Nguyễn's exhibition turns the ethnographic gaze onto itself, reflecting upon the administration of racialized labor for transporting artifacts from across the world to the collections of European museums. Details »

The successfully completed Lives That Speak campaign identified the Library as a rich opportunity to create a much-needed interactive, inviting, architecturally beautiful structure that advances and facilitates the innovative programming now offered. New features of what will be called the Lutnick Library include technologically robust spaces, active teaching and learning spaces, a Digital Scholarship Commons, and a cafe.

For students looking to forge close connections around shared interests, Haverford offers specialinterest housing choices, such as La Casa Hispánica (for students actively engaged in organizing programs concerned with the cultures and civilizations of the Spanish-speaking world); Cadbury House (for those seeking quiet-study and alcohol- and drug-free living); and Nerd House (for gaming, tech, fantasy, anime, and science aficionados).
