The Center for Peace and Global Citizenship

The Center for Peace and Global Citizenship(CPGC) offers local community engagement opportunities, community-engaged courses and curricular pathways, and financial support for student and faculty activities that advance peace, social justice, and global citizenship.

With support from the CPGC, the Haverford College delegation (from left)—Noha El Toukhy '22, Victoria Merino '20, Farid Azar Leon '20, Soha Saghir '21, and Tanisha Bansal '21—journeyed to Mérida, Yucatan, to lead workshops at the Youth Program of the 2019 World Summit of Nobel Laureates.

Campus

The Campus

Our campus has 200 acres of award-winning architecture and landscaping; more than 50 academic, athletic, and residential buildings; and a nationally recognized arboretum with 400 species of trees and shrubs, a 3.5-acre duck pond, gardens, and wooded areas.

The Haverford College Arboretum hosts a variety of events, such as the upcoming pumpkin-carving workshop. The resulting jack-o'-lanterns will be on display during the Fall Festival, where the public will vote on the best-carved pumpkin. Photo: Lev Greenstein '20.
