This summer, Claire Brislin '07 worked with Germantown's historic Cliveden House, participating in a 10-week student summer internship through the John B. Hurford '60 Humanities Center. The second year of the Center's new program has seen the doubling of opportunities open to students, now placing rising seniors in a dozen arts organizations in the Philadelphia area.

Edwin E. Tuttle '49, a longtime friend and generous supporter of Haverford College and a leading philanthropist in the Philadelphia area, died May 19 at the age of 79 at his home in Ventnor, N.J.

This fall, Jim Soland '02 will enroll at Stanford University in a two-year master's program in East Asian Studies. Out of more than 1,000 nominees, Soland is one of the 77 recipients of the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Scholarship.

After five minutes with Pia Agrawal '05, one knows why she got a job with the Philadelphia Live Arts and Philly Fringe Festival. Along with fellow Fords Sarah Jacoby '06 and Zoe Marquardt '07, Agrawal is one of a host of new faces working with the 10-year-old Philadelphia arts institution.
