Biography
Scott Wojciechowski (he/him) serves as the Dean of Student Life, overseeing the co-curricular learning experiences that happen outside of the classroom. These functions include Residential Education and Housing, Student Engagement and New Student Programs, Community Standards and Student Conduct, Health and Wellbeing Education, Case Management, the on-call system, and the CARE team.
Scott brings an array of student life experiences that include housing and residence life, on-call/crisis response, threat assessment and CARE team management, and first-year programs/orientation. He also has experience overseeing areas focused on engagement and inclusion including student activities, recreation services, multicultural affairs, and accessibility services.
He has previously worked at High Point University, Gettysburg College, the University of Iowa, and Lehigh University. Scott is from Glassport, Pennsylvania, a small town south of Pittsburgh. He originally came to Haverford in March 2022 as the Associate Dean of the College for Residential Education and Student Engagement.
Scott completed his Ph.D. in Higher Education with his disseration titled “I’m Really Sorry You Joined Us, But Welcome to the Club”: The Impact of Parental Death on College Students.
