Hello, my name is Santos Diaz and I am a member of the Class of 2025. I am a sociology major with two concentrations in Peace, Justice, and Human Rights (PJHR) studies, and Latin American, Iberian, and Latin (LAIL) studies. I am a member of mulltiple organizations on Haverford's campus, including the Chesick Scholars program, Christian Fellowship, the Pre-Law Society, Alliance of Latin American Students (ALAS), and the Haverford S-Cords acapella group. I currently work in the President's Office as the student intern, and have had experience in a variety of offices on campus, including the Center for Career and Profesional Advising (CCPA), the Center for Peace and Global Citizenship (CPGC), and the Alumni office. I worked as the Social Media & Intercultural Intern last summer for the organization Caribbean Community in Philadelphia and just finished a Junior Summer Insititute program at the University of Michigan for Public Policy and International Affairs this past summer. I am eager to expand my growing interest in strategies of policy formation/reformation, latin american studies, and interdiscplinary methods through which to address the intersectionality of structural inequalities.
