Rebecca Powers joined Haverford College as the Director of Foundation Relations in January 2023. In this role, she helps develop and steward institutional grant funding from private foundations and government agencies, supporting Haverford’s mission and strategic priorities. She collaborates across campus to secure resources for student success initiatives, academic programs, and institutional capacity-building efforts.
Prior to Haverford, Rebecca served as the Senior Director of Corporate, Foundation, and Government Relations at Chestnut Hill College and held similar roles at the University of the Sciences (now St. Joseph’s University) and Immaculata University. With more than 15 years of experience in institutional advancement, she has worked closely with faculty and leadership to align funding opportunities with institutional goals.
Rebecca holds a bachelor’s degree in Classics and Ancient Mediterranean Studies from Pennsylvania State University and a master’s degree in Social Anthropology from the University of Oxford. A lifelong lover of history, art, and travel, she enjoys exploring museums, discovering new places, and spending time at home in Wallingford with her son, Lincoln, and their four rescue cats.
