Hello! I am so excited to return to the Bi-Co as the OAR Academic Coach! I graduated from Bryn Mawr College with a French major and History of Art minor. Since then, I have earned my Master of Arts in French Studies at NYU and my Master of Education in Counseling Psychology at Temple University. Prior to coming to Haverford, I worked in student and program support roles at Penn’s Career Services, University of the Sciences’ Student Health and Counseling office, and Bryn Mawr’s Dean’s Office. Most recently, I was the Academic Advancement Program counselor for a college retention and support program for underrepresented students at Villanova University.
I enjoy working with students and helping them reach their personal, academic, and professional goals. As an academic coach, your goals are my goals. We can work together on study strategies, time management, test anxiety, test-taking strategies, reading management, and note-taking skills. I take a person-centered approach and strive to support others’ individuality and independence with dignity, compassion, and respect.
In my spare time, I love hanging out with my partner Jim, my daughter, and my dog. We especially enjoy walking around and exploring different Philly neighborhoods. I thoroughly enjoy escape rooms and have done more than I can count. I try to go to an escape room in each city I visit. I also love karaoke and playing pool. I hope to get to “pool shark” level one day.
I work in the OAR office on Mondays and Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I look forward to meeting with you! You can book a meeting with me at https://web.penjiapp.com/.
