Bio
I am an Animal Care Specialist with over 30+ years' experience in the animal husbandry and animal welfare fields. I have worked in wildlife rehabilitation centers, environmental centers, museums, zoos, veterinary hospitals, doggy daycare, and now Haverford College. For over 25 years, I specialized in the care and training of raptors (birds of prey) as ambassadors for educational programming. I have also worked extensively with a variety of reptiles, small mammals, parrots, and other birds. I also have experience with fish exhibits, amphibians, and even invertebrates. At Haverford, when not in my office, you can find me in either the Jain Fish Facility or the Rodent Vivarium.
When not at work, I can be found snuggling my 3 senior kitties or cleaning my two turtles or my 25 -year-old dove. I am also an avid reader of natural history and other non-fiction stories and books.
