Kali Silverman joined Haverford College as the Graterford Archive Project Manager in July 2024. Prior to Haverford, Kali managed over fifty public art projects with Mural Arts Philadelphia. In 2022, Kali began working with the Mural Arts program at SCI Phoenix (formerly of SCI Graterford) and got to know some of the incredible artists that are incarcerated there. Over the past 20 years, through unconscionable odds, they have been able to produce murals and original artwork for themselves and others.
Kali holds a bachelor’s in Geography and Urban Studies from Temple University and a master’s in International Community Development (a.k.a. “Glocal Studies”) from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Passionate about asset-based community development–placemaking, specifically–Kali loves working with creators to plan for their visions for a better world. Kali lives in South Philly and works a hybrid schedule, with some days in the office and some remote; her google calendar is up-to-date if you’d like to schedule a meeting. She can be reached at ksilverma1 [at] haverford.edu or on her cell at (215) 870-0809.
