The Staff Association Executive Committee seeks one staff representative to serve on the Corporation Standing Nomination Committee. Submit nominees by November 14, or nominate yourself by November 18.
Corporation Standing Nomination Committee Staff Representative
Appointment: three year term beginning Spring 2023
Number of Staff Representatives sought: one (1)
The Corporation Standing Nomination Committee (CSNC) is looking for one staff representative. Full position description and expectations can be found here.
The CSNC is responsible for nominating candidates for membership in the Corporation, Corporation members on the Board of Managers, the Corporation Associates Program, Officers of the Corporation, and members of the Corporation Standing Committees. The CSNC meets 4-5 times each academic year starting in mid-September to early October and completing its work by mid-March. The committee has traditionally met from 4-6pm eastern time on a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday afternoon. Members can join in person on campus or by Zoom. Dates will be scheduled each year based on membership availability.

ELIGIBILITY
Any member of the Haverford College Staff Association, as defined by the Staff Association Bylaws, is eligible to be appointed to serve on a College committee, working group, or task force, although some roles have specific requirements that will be outlined in the position description when they are announced.
The Staff Association Executive Committee (SAEC) is responsible for identifying and appointing staff representatives to serve on standing and ad hoc College committees. The SAEC strives for diverse and proportional representation of staff perspectives on College committees and working groups by seeking out and recruiting volunteers for staff representative roles from across divisions and employment classifications. Haverford's Senior Staff join the SAEC in their support for service to the College by any member of the Staff Association in any division or job category. Staff time spent in committee service is considered part of the staff representative’s workload during their appointment, and could entail rebalancing of job assignments if necessary.
