Call For Nominees: Member of the Staff Association Executive Committee (SAEC)
The Staff Association Executive Committee (SAEC) is seeking nominees (including self-nominations!) for Staff Association Executive Committee Member. These are three-year terms, and all interested members of the Staff Association, regardless of exempt/nonexempt status or employment division, are eligible for nomination.
All members of the Staff Association, including exempt and nonexempt staff in all employment divisions, are eligible to serve as Staff Representatives. And as a non-Senior Staff member of Haverford College, you are automatically a member of the Staff Association!
The Staff Association Executive Committee (SAEC) strives for diverse and proportional staff representation on the SAEC and other College committees by identifying and electing and/or appointing Staff Representatives from across all College divisions and employment classifications. If you don't feel well-represented, please consider volunteering! The Vice Chair of the SAEC is responsible for maintaining the overall membership of the SAEC and Staff Representatives to College committees. Staff Association Executive Committee Member
Seeking 1 Staff Representative
Appointment: 3 years (terms start July 1)
The Haverford College Staff Association is led by an Executive Committee that has general direction of the business and affairs of the Association. The Executive Committee elects new Committee members from the Staff Association annually during their last meeting of the spring semester or as needed. Members of the Executive Committee serve three-year terms and are eligible to serve two consecutive terms. The SAEC meets monthly for regular business meetings and occasionally for special meetings or other activities.
The Executive Committee shall:
- Have general direction of the affairs of the Staff Association
- Be active participants in Staff Association and Executive Committee activities
- Discuss and bring to resolution old and new business
- Strive for diverse and proportional staff representation by seeking out and recruiting volunteers from across divisions and employment classifications, to serve on the EC and other College committees
- Elect Officers of the Executive Committee
- Elect new members to the Executive Committee
- Identify and elect staff representatives to serve on the Board of Managers and other College committees
- Appoint or form committees as needed to execute the business of the Staff Association
