Visiting Assistant Professor in Statistics
Haverford College seeks a Visiting Assistant Professor in Statistics to begin fall 2025.
The department of Mathematics and Statistics at Haverford College invites applicants for a three-year visiting position in statistics to begin in the fall of 2025. Preference will be given to candidates with a Ph.D. in statistics or biostatistics, but we will also consider candidates with doctoral degrees in other related fields who have rigorous training in statistics and experience in applying statistics to real world data. A successful candidate should demonstrate ability to teach statistics courses at all levels, from introductory to intermediate and advanced level, and to direct senior theses in statistics. The appointment begins July 1, 2025, with on-campus responsibilities starting in late August. It is expected that the Ph.D. will be completed prior to the start date (though ABD candidates will be considered).
