Haverford College has appointed Jess H. Lord to the position of Dean of Admission and Financial Aid, effective July 1, 2005.

Kira Intrator '05, of Ferney-Voltaire, France, and Chris Kingsley '05, of Portland, Me., have been awarded Thomas J. Watson Fellowships for 2005-2006.

On Saturday, April 2, from 10 a.m. to noon, the Andrew Silk Journalism Panel at Haverford College will convene in the Zubrow Commons, Marian E. Koshland Integrated Natural Sciences Center.

On Tuesday, March 1st, 2005 at 8 pm, the Fisk Jubilee Singers will perform at Haverford College, joined by the Chamber Singers of Haverford and Bryn Mawr Colleges.

By shadowing professionals—mainly alumni of Haverford and Bryn Mawr Colleges—in their workplaces during winter or spring breaks, students can explore the career options that interest them.

At Family & Friends Weekend 2002, a group of local parent volunteers was formed with the goal of aiding the College in better engaging the parents of its students.

In the fall of 2004, Gabriella Möller '87 enjoyed an adventure that took her from the mountains of Washington to the redwoods of California—on two wheels. She and 43 fellow cyclists rode 1,071 miles from Seattle to San Francisco to raise money for the American Lung Association of Washington.

The religious paintings of New York-based artist Simon Carr will be on display in the Cantor Fitzgerald Gallery February 25 through March 27.
