Pre-Health Advising
Medical School Interviews
All medical schools require applicant interviews as part of the evaluation process. An interview invitation is a very positive sign and means that you are considered to be academically qualified for the program.
The interview will also allow Admissions Committees to assess your enthusiasm for the medical school, and if you have the competencies they deem important. However, there are different interview formats used to assess applicants, including traditional one-on-one interviews, Multiple Mini Interviews (MMI), and a combination of the two formats.
Haverford College maintains an Alumni Mock Interview Program to help current applicants prepare for this important component of the medical school admissions process.
AAMC Resources
AAMC has launched a comprehensive interview preparation guide, designed to help medical school applicants in navigating the interview process with confidence. The goal is to provide applicants with support to ensure a smooth journey to medical school.

Interview Preparation: Medical School Mock Interview Program
The goal of the Mock Interview Program is to match Haverford College medical school applicants with experienced alumni and friends of the College in the medical field to provide interview practice, feedback, and informal advice about the application process. This Program has been extremely successful for applicants over the past several years and it has also proven to be rewarding for our volunteers.
For Applicants
Please complete the Medical School Mock Interview Program: Applicant Request Form once you have received at least one medical school interview offer. Once submitted, you will be sent an email with your match and further instructions within 5-7 business days.
For Volunteers (Alumni and Friends of the College)
If you would like to participate, please complete the Medical School Mock Interview Program: Volunteer Form for the next available applicant cycle. If/when you are matched, applicants will be responsible for initiating contact and scheduling a virtual meeting with you. The applicant's completed Form and resume will be forwarded to the assigned volunteer. We hope that volunteer/applicants matches will be able to complete a mock interview within 1-3 weeks of being matched.
