Black Students' League Officers and OMA Intern:
Hello all! My name is Summer Williams (she/her) and I’m a sophomore from Virginia. As an inspiring law student, I plan on majoring in political science and minoring in Spanish. I have cherished the sense of belonging with many of the communities at Haverford I am a part of; those include being a BSL board member, a member of the varsity women’s tennis team, and an alto in my beloved a capella group, Melanines. At the same time it has been a valuable learning experience to discover how to balance my school work, extracurriculars, and mental health with my passions of painting, digital art, and piano.
Hi everyone! My name is Berlensie Chery (she/her), and I am a junior here at Haverford. I’m a chemistry major with a biochemistry concentration. On campus, I am a busy student like everyone else, but also a co-head of Black Students' League (BSL) and a CQC chem resource person for Organic Chemistry. In my free time, I like to learn how to play new instruments, read, and sleep.
Hey everyone! My name is Taylor Johnson (she/her) and I’m a sophomore from West Philly! I’m a sociology major and an Africana studies and anthropology double minor. I serve as a co-head for BSL this year and am also the Bi-Co Africana studies program ambassador. I value fostering a community for our Black students above all else, and am beyond excited to introduce more programming throughout my time here at Haverford!
What’s up, everyone?! My name is Darius Graham (he/him), and I’m a senior from New York City, majoring in anthropology and minoring in health studies. At Haverford, I am the CAPS Liaison, a VCAM Production Mentor, as well as an intern in both the Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA) and Student Engagement Office. You also might see me delivering packages at Central Services or answering questions at the info desk in the Campus Center! In my downtime, I like to sleep, binge watch my favorite shows, and write music. I am super excited for you all to see what the OMA and BSL has planned for Black History Month and can’t wait to partake in the festivities myself!
