Travel Resources

Explore resources to apply for on-campus and off-campus funding for travel abroad, for all Haverford students and faculty.

Semester study abroad students should search for programs with scholarship opportunities on the Study Abroad site. Students interested in particular fields should contact their advisors or professors in that Haverford department for advice and direction.

Note: The College will not fund projects in locations with a level four travel warning from the State Department. Travel to locations with a level three warning must be approved by the College’s Travel Council.

International Students

Funding to support travel to a students’ home country or hometown from Haverford College for research or internships may be considered but is not guaranteed. Applications will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Major factors taken into consideration when reviewing requests include but are not exclusive of:

• opportunities not found elsewhere,
• benefit to their community,
• benefit to the organization,
• benefit to their curricular experience.

Note: If approved to study in their home country, international students will not be covered under Haverford's emergency travel insurance. See "Emergency Travel Insurance" for more information.
