Sustainable Fords
At a time when the impact of human actions on our planet is growing more apparent every day, the Sustainable Fords Affinity Group connects and educates Haverford alumni about how they can make a difference.
We work to provide opportunities for alumni to volunteer with current Fords, to gather for social and educational events, and to learn about the College's sustainability initiatives. By doing so, the group highlights the ways in which Haverford's culture of ethics intersects with environmental stewardship, restoring our relationship with natural environments in ways that are both personal and social.
Pillars of Work:
- Connecting alumni with Fellow Fords:
- Career-based networking
- Social and educational events
- Service opportunities in local communities with other Fords
- Connecting alumni with Haverford:
- Connecting with staff to support and offer feedback on College sustainability initiatives
- Service opportunities on campus with current Fords
- Mentoring current students/student organizations on sustainability projects
