Workday Today Interface Update
Workday has released a next generation homepage that surfaces relevant tasks, applications, announcements, along with information and recommendations — personalized to you, called Workday Today.
Starting Thursday, July 21, 2022 when you login to Workday you’ll be presented with this updated homepage and see the different selections below.
New Workday Federated Search Feature
Arguably the biggest change with the new homepage is the search feature, which is now category based and does not have the ability to utilize the ‘All of Workday’ filter.
Workday still allows for users to revert back to the ‘Classic Search’ via these steps:
Log into Workday > Select your photo or cloud circle icon in upper right hand corner of window > Select ‘My Account’ > Select ‘Change Preferences’ > Scroll down to ‘Search Preferences’ and select ‘Classic Workday Search’ > Log out and back into Workday to see changes.
Awaiting Your Action
An upfront and centered list of the current items in your inbox that are awaiting your action. You can still view your full inbox via the bin icon in the upper right hand corner.
Timely Suggestions
Prompts to take action on important tasks and provides information for upcoming events such as approved absences.
Announcements
The same announcements you are familiar with in a new organized location.

A running list of your most used tasks and apps when using Workday.
