Magill Library houses more than half a million volumes and provides access to 2.5 million more through a catalog system that connects it to libraries at neighboring Bryn Mawr and Swarthmore Colleges.
The Center for Peace and Global Citizenship grew out of faculty and student interests that emerged in the late 1990s. Since then, the Center has developed and expanded into a flourishing nexus of social responsibility, civic engagement, and global peace work, both on campus and in the greater community.

Filmmaker Ben Hickernell ’00 takes a deeper look at the lives of Haverfordians profiled in the documentary “Lives That Speak.” Serial tech entrepreneur Ellie Power '92 says she "learned to listen" while a student here. "That's what I really liked at Haverford."

An increasing number of international students are being drawn to Haverford by the promise of intellectual exploration, academic rigor, and close-knit community. Once here, they must also contend with unfamiliar food and strange American social customs, and a climate that may be way outside their comfort zone. A robust support program for students from abroad eases intercultural adjustment.
