Haverford faculty mentor and partner with students, and not just in class and lab: 61% live on or near campus, facilitating close relationships that are a hallmark of our community. This year, new professors joined the Departments of Biology, Classics, Mathematics and Statistics, Music, Philosophy, and Religion.
Along with teaching courses in calculus, geometry, and linear algebra, Senior Lecturer of Mathematics and Statistics Jeff Tecosky-Feldman directs the Chesick Summer Institute, a vital part of the Chesick Scholars Program, a four-year academic mentoring and leadership program for under-represented, under-resourced, or first-generation Haverford students that includes a residential summer program.
