Sponsored by the Spanish departments at Haverford and Bryn Mawr College, the CPGC, the Provost’s Office, the Department of Latin American, Latino, and Iberian Peoples and Cultures at Bryn Mawr, and more than 180 other organizations, Caravana 43 visited Haverford as part of its international tour to demand justice, accountability, and support from the U.S. and European governments.

Kim Benston

Kimberly Benston, provost, professor of English, and a member of the Haverford College faculty for more than 30 years has been appointed to a two-year term as Haverford’s next president. He succeeds Daniel H. Weiss, who was named president of The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York in March.

Prof. Benston's interests include modern drama, African-American literature and culture, Shakespeare, performance studies, photographic history and theory, and critical animal studies.
