The Jaharis Family Foundation has made a gift of $10 million that will support a new state-of-the-art music center and endow an innovative student loan debt relief fund. Says Steven M. Jaharis, M.D. ’82, “Haverford continues to be a priority for our family because Haverford continues to have a profound impact on communities worldwide.”

Lives That Speak, a $225 million comprehensive fundraising campaign, was publicly launched in October.

Sustainability

The Committee for Environmental Responsibility (CER) was created by the students, faculty and staff of Haverford College, and founded on the socially responsible principles of the college. You can use their Building Dashboard to track real-time electricity use in buildings around campus that have been fitted with special meters.

In February 2015 Haverford will take part in the Campus Conservation Nationals energy-reduction competition under the title "Do it in the Dark."
