One of three Hurford Center creative interns, Otterbein is spending the summer as a programs intern for Abortion Access Front and creating a zine designed to educate the College community.

The computer science major is working as a rotation software engineer at Apple, focusing on artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Keishla Sanchez ‘22, Elena Bien ‘24, and Sunny Martinez ‘24 are interning at the South Philly nonprofit, supporting its youth programs through bilingual education and activities.

The biology major is studying serotonin receptors in zebrafish, and their connection with decision making, with the support of the Velay Fellowship.

The physics major is pursuing a master’s degree in systems engineering at the University of Pennsylvania, as part of Haverford’s 4+1 program with the university.

For her thesis, the chemistry major studied structure-function relationships of acyl carrier proteins, and how they can contribute to medicinal diversity.

The biology major and music minor is gaining hands-on experience working with animals by helping train search and rescue dogs at the Penn Vet Working Dog Center.
