GRASE Associates
GRASE Associates are current Haverford students who are passionate about issues related to gender and sexuality. GRASE Student Associates collaborate with the Director of the Center, campus partners, and student organizations in developing and implementing events, workshops, and special initiatives. GRASE Student Associates also serve as a liaison between the Center and the student body to strengthen and sustain an inclusive campus community promoting gender and sexuality equity. At the core of all GRASE Center’s programming is a social and racial justice framework that promotes student development, co-curricular learning, and community building.

My name is Sam (he/him), I’m a junior from Evanston, IL. I’m an economics major, maybe math/sociology minor. I have a dog named Toby who is a mix of a toy poodle and a shih tzu. In my free time, I like to work out and make ice cream with my ninja creami. I also am a peer tutor with the Office of Academic Resources (OAR) and I really working with other students on econ and math. At GRASE I do a lot of the graphics/social media stuff so I’m super excited to share all that is going on at the GRASE Center with the Haverford community!

My name is Kripa (she/her) and I’m an international student from Kathmandu, Nepal. I’m a junior and I’m planning to major in Growth and Structure of Cities with a Data Science minor. I love everything outdoors, especially the mountains (hence the pictures). Other activities I enjoy are traveling, listening to (and playing) music, and as of recent, hosting dinner parties. I’m a Program Associate at GRASE this year, I’m super excited!

Hi! I’m Ingrid (she/her) and I’m a sophomore this year. I’m a prospective English major, no idea about a minor yet. I like to play my guitar and write songs, I’m usually reading multiple novels at once, and if I’m not doing either of those things then I’m listening to music, regardless of what else I’m doing. I’m the Library Associate at GRASE this year, and I’m super excited to get to work with the collection and make it usable for the whole community!

My name is Keira O’Connor and I’m a sophomore from Ann Arbor, Michigan. I’m joining GRASE as a program associate. I spend my free time on walks, hanging out with friends, reading, and hanging out with my cat, Bam. I’m passionate about intersectional identities and reproductive justice. I’m excited to connect with the Haverford community throughout the year during our events.

Hi, I’m Caroline (she/they) and I’m a current sophomore! I’m a prospective Sociology and Education Studies double major, with a minor in Statistics. I enjoy singing and dancing (hip hop), and am usually always listening to music (a variety of genres)! I also like reading classical literature, and love to take care of succulent plants and go on walks. I’m returning as one of the Program Associates at GRASE this year, and I’m really enthusiastic about continuing the work we’ve been doing to further build an inclusive, welcoming, and equitable community on Haverford’s campus.

My name is Naomi York, and I am a junior at Haverford! I use she/her pronouns, and I am from San Diego, California. I am planning on majoring in religion and minoring in anthropology. I am a member of Haverford’s field hockey team, and love playing sports. I love being outside, going on walks, and going to the beach. I will be the partnerships and outreach associate at GRASE this year, and I am so excited!
