On Tuesday, April 8 at 4:30 PM, the Department of Music presents the Senior Thesis Presentation of Edgar Leon ’25. His composition, The Memory of Things Left Unsaid, is an immersive musical journey for string quartet that blurs the boundaries between sound and memory. Inspired by personal experiences and the expressive depth of concert music and film scores, the piece unfolds over two movements—beginning with fragile, restless echoes and evolving into a shifting landscape of introspection and intensity. It captures the lingering weight of unspoken emotions and the quiet resilience born from life’s unacknowledged struggles, leaving listeners with an evocative, open-ended reflection over its 8 minute and 45 second duration. The recording was made by members of Network for New Music.
This presentation will be held in Jaharis Recital Hall and is free and open to the public.
