The Center for Peace & Global Citizenship kicks off its 2025 Fellowship program with honored guest and fellowship program alumnus Bibhav Acharya ‘06. Dr. Acharya will share practical lessons in navigating ethical challenges in global health based on his two decades of in non-profit, academic, and clinical engagements in the U.S. and Nepal. This session has been designed to help students prepare for a lifelong engagement by working with organizations around the globe who are advancing peace, justice, inclusivity, and sustainability in efforts centering the interests of individuals and communities most affected by injustice.

Dr. Bibhav Acharya ‘06 is an Associate Professor and the founding director of UCSF Psychiatry HEAL fellowship in Global Mental Health in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Science at University of California, San Francisco. He is the co-founder and mental health advisor of Possible, a non-profit that has administered over $40 million in improving healthcare in Nepal.
