On Tuesday, December 10 at 7 PM, the Department of Music presents: “Orlando: The Life of a Renaissance Composer”. The film, directed Joachim Thôme, combines commentary and performance of Lasso's music, in French, German, Dutch, Italian and English (with complete English subtitles).
Contributing scholars include Richard Freedman, John C. Whitehead '43 Professor of Music, who will lead a Q/A about the composer and making of the film after the screening. A trailer for the film can be seen HERE.
This event will be held at Haverford College in the Michael Jaharis Recital Hall and is free and open to the public.
