Media, Entertainment and Sports Affinity Group
Media, entertainment, and sports are increasingly popular fields among the College’s alumni. The MES group exists to bring together and support alumni working or interested in those fields through networking opportunities, speaker series, and social media, as well as to provide an information pipeline for current students seeking to break into the MES industries. The group will officially launch with a gathering at AMC/Sundance on September 22, 2016, generously hosted by AMC. Harold Gronenthal ’85 will be the speaker. Volunteers madelberg [at] gmail.com (Marc Adelberg ’08), sgilarsky [at] gmail.com (Sarah Gilarsky ’10), and danielrender [at] gmail.com (Daniel Render ’06) are interested in input/suggestions from fellow alumni.
Will You Meet the Board Scholarship Challenge?
To meet the Lives That Speak campaign goal of $40 million for new and endowed scholarship funds by June 20, 2017, the Board of Managers created a $2.5 million challenge pool to inspire leadership support during this final year of the campaign. The challenge pool offers a 1:1 match for all new endowed scholarship gifts of $100,000 or more, up to $250,000 per donor. The matching dollars will "follow" your gift into the new or existing scholarship fund you choose to support, until the pool is exhausted. Contact dstrecke [at] haverford.edu (Deb Strecker), director of individual giving (610-896-1129), for more information.
