Brook Danielle Lillehaugen Awarded Fellowships for Zapotec Project

The assistant professor of linguistics has won multiple grants for work on historical manuscripts written in the Zapotec language.
Brook Danielle Lillehaugen has won an American Council of Learned Societies fellowship to pursue her research on the Mesoamerican language of Zapotec. She will conduct linguistic analysis of translated Zapotec testaments.
She also recently received a National Endowment for the Humanities fellowship for college teachers and independent scholars to pursue the same project.
In addition, the American Philosophical Society awarded her a Franklin Research Grant.
