ADMISSION NEWS
Details
After 26 years in Haverford Admission, Delsie Phillips has left the College in order to pursue other personal and professional interests.
“I support her decision and wish to convey the community's deep appreciation to Delsie for her decades of service to the College,” says President Tom Tritton.
During Delsie's tenure the College became coeducational, saw a dramatic increase in the number of applications for admission, and created a much more diverse student body.
Alumnus and longtime College administrator Greg Kannerstein '63 will serve as Interim Dean of Admission while the College conducts a national search for Delsie Phillips' successor. The search committee will be chaired by Dean of the College Joe Tolliver and will include other members of the campus community to be named in the next two weeks. Dr. Kannerstein's responsibilities in the Athletics Department will be shared by Associate Athletic Directors Wendy Smith '87 and John Douglas.
