Students awarded Hurford Humanities Center Summer Intensive Language Studies Fellowships.
We are pleased to announce that the Hurford Humanities Center has awarded Asher Reisman '11 and Meghan LeFrancois '10 (pictured right) grants to learn Latin and Greek this summer. Both will attend the intensive language program at University of California-Berkeley this summer.
The Humanities Center invites applications from Haverford students interested in studying Latin or Ancient Greek intensively during the summer. The project is open to students majoring in any discipline, but lacking advanced training in one or both of the two languages. Students for whom knowledge of Latin or Ancient Greek would provide important academic benefits in their chosen area of research (philosophy, history, literatures, religion, etc.) are especially encouraged to apply. The Center covers expenses for tuition, room and board at the intensive language programs.
