Summer Series 2023: TruBoard Partners
Details
Funding Source: Whitehead Internship Program
I was excited to intern this summer at TruBoard Partners as an economic researcher as I was interested in learning more about the intersection of technology and finance. I had heard about the company’s work on developing bespoke solutions for capital providers to manage their investments and improve post-investment decision making, and I was eager to contribute to this work.
During my internship, I was assigned to the credit monitoring team. My primary responsibility was to help develop tools and models that would help TruBoard Partners’ clients to monitor the financial performance of their borrowers. I also worked on projects related to ESG compliance and early warning signals. This involved researching the latest trends in ESG investing, developing frameworks for assessing ESG performance, and building models for identifying companies that are at risk of financial distress.
One of the most rewarding experiences of my internship was working on a project to write a research paper on the economics of green hydrogen. Green hydrogen is a clean and renewable fuel that has the potential to replace fossil fuels in a variety of sectors. I worked with a team of researchers to analyze the potential for green hydrogen to replace fossil fuels in transportation, power generation, and industrial applications. We also explored the challenges and opportunities associated with the development of the green hydrogen market.
The research paper was a great learning experience for me. I learned a lot about the economics of green hydrogen, and I also gained valuable experience in research and writing. I am proud of the work that we did on the paper, and I believe that it will be a valuable resource for TruBoard Partners and its clients.
In addition to my work on the research paper, I also had the opportunity to collaborate with other teams at TruBoard Partners. I worked with the ESG team to develop a framework for assessing the ESG performance of companies. I also worked with the early warning signals team to develop a model for identifying companies that are at risk of financial distress.
I had a great experience working at TruBoard Partners as an economic research intern. I learned a lot, I made valuable connections, and I increased my knowledge about financial technology. As an intern I was introduced to different types of investments, financial instruments, and financial markets. I also gained experience in research and writing, and developed my skills in data analysis and predictive modeling. I also had the opportunity to build relationships with professionals in the financial industry. I am grateful for the opportunity to have interned at TruBoard Partners.
