I had a great experience doing the LAILS concentration, I was majoring in Spanish with a minor in Political Science at BMC. The LAILS concentration offered great courses that were able to tie my interests through its courses. For prospective students, I would recommend for them to work closely with the professors, their work and research is amazing and working with them on research and my thesis was an amazing experience. I learned so much about different topics through interesting narratives, authors and speakers.
I think the courses allowed me to have discussions about race and gender that are so important to have but many times are hard to address in an appropriate manner.
