The Office of International Student Support (ISSO) partners with international students and assists them during their academic career at Haverford College. The resources our office provides include: guidance prior to arrival at Haverford, International Student Orientation, advising on F-1 visa regulations, and community building programming. ISSO also supports Haverford’s Curricular Practical Training program.
The Student Resource People are available for one-on-one conversations, hold small workshops and conversations, and advocate for the needs of the ISO cohort within the larger Haverford community.
ISSO hosts International Student Orientation (ISO) over the five days immediately preceding the start of the Customs program for incoming international students, which include F-1 visa holders, and US citizens and legal permanent residents residing abroad.
The Chesick Scholars Program provides a welcoming community and a suite of workshops, seminars and experiences that have been especially designed for first-generation college students and/or students who come from low-income (FLI) backgrounds.
The International Student Association (ISA) is a student-run organization that provides a support network for the International Student community. We organize social, cultural, and career events to give international students a space where they can feel more at home. Our goal is to embrace all the different backgrounds of Haverford students and promote understanding of international culture.
