Todd currently serves as the Director of Pre-Professional Advising at Haverford College. In his role at CCPA, he advises students and alumni who are exploring and pursuing graduate and professional school studies, including law and the health professions. Todd's academic background in counseling and psychology has meaningfully informed and consistently guided his career, which includes over 20 years of student-centered experience in higher education administration. His approach to advising is relational and holistic, grounded in thoughtful professional exploration, academic and intellectual reflection, and psychological wellness.
Prior to joining the Haverford community, Todd served as Director of Admissions at Yale Law School and Assistant Director of Admissions at Columbia Law School, where he reviewed and evaluated applications as part of their respective Admissions Committees. For eleven years, he advised undergraduate students and alumni in the Graduate and Professional School Advising Division of Career Services at the University of Pennsylvania, ultimately overseeing the team of advisors for six years. Todd also served in administrative positions in two Offices of the President – first at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and later at Columbia University, Teachers College – and, most recently, he was the Director of Academic & Student Affairs at Vanderbilt University, Owen Graduate School of Management. Todd is also a Past President of the Northeast Association of Pre-Law Advisors (NAPLA).
