Campus Communication and Advertising
Posting Policy
The Posting Policy addresses the "Bulletin Boards, Posting Notices, Banners, and Installation Policy" and "Political Posters and Visual Media." The consideration of any cases not adequately addressed within this policy may require involvement of the President's Office due to the legal requirements on the College.
The Weekly Consensus
The Weekly Consensus is an email digest sent to students on Monday mornings each week; it is intended to be a paper-free way to advertise non-alcoholic events and share messages with the entire student body.
In order to include your event in a timely manner, we ask that you submit your event to the Weekly Consensus no more than two weeks prior to your event. The deadline for the Weekly Consensus is Monday morning at 9 AM.
Use the Weekly Consensus Form, which connects to Engage. You will need to sign-in to access the form.
We ask that you submit the title, date, time, and location of your event in the "Message to the Community" portion of your submission.
If you would like to include a poster or image with your submission, you can attach files in the discussion section after you submit the form.
HC-All and HC-Class List Service Policy
The HC-all listserv is used primarily for announcements from Students’ Council, Departments, and all-campus events. The list is managed by the Residential Education & Student Engagement office in concert with the SC Co-Secretaries following the guidelines. RESE and the Students’ Council reserves the right to deny the approval of a message.
HC-class listservs are used to send announcements to specific class years.
If the listserv is not the appropriate avenue to send your message, the SC Co-Secretaries or RESE staff will reach out to the sender to suggest alternate options, which will most often be the Weekly Consensus.
Please allow 12 hours for your message to be approved. Additionally, please be aware that if you are the sender, you will not see the email go out.
If you have any questions about this service, please email hc-engage@haverford.edu.
