Sara Fakhry '26
Hi! I'm Sara Fakhry (she/her). I am an international student from the UK but I am originally half-Palestinian and half-Lebanese. I consider both London and Lebanon home and hope that I can go to Palestine in the future. I plan to major in Political Science and Peace and Conflict Studies. I am also one of the captains of the Club Crew team and love being a part of the international student association at Haverford. At CPGC, I work as a writing associate, focusing on Haverford’s virtual exchange program with American University Sharjah (AUS), Dickinson, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI).
Tasneem Mabrouk '24
Tasneem (she/her) is a Growth and Structure of Cities major and Peace, Justice and Human Rights concentrator. Though she spent most of her life in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, she now calls Philadelphia home. She loves reading, cooking, and art of all forms. As the major hints, she loves going into Philly and exploring new museums and cafes - her current favorites are The Barnes and Milkcrate Cafe. When she isn't agonizing over thesis writing, she enjoys learning new recipes and falling down rabbit holes of obscure topics on YouTube.
Priya Nwakanma '27
Hey, y’all! I’m Priya and I’m originally from Orlando, Florida. My major is yet undeclared, but I’m interested in linguistics, classical studies, and law. On campus, I participate as a member of the mock trial team, the poetry club but I’m also just figuring out what I like to do! What I do know is that I’m passionate about political advocacy, especially in an abolitionist capacity. I hope to learn more about that in my time at the CPGC. I work at the CPGC as a Civic Engagement Associate.
Riley Sobel '24
Riley is a senior from Los Angeles pursuing a political science major, a psychology and self-designed journalism and photojournalism double minor, and a concentration in peace, justice, and human rights. She is particularly interested in victim-centered approaches to international criminal justice. Following her sophomore year, Riley was a CPGC Self-Designed Fellow studying immigration through Lives Beyond Borders. She has also completed the introductory training with Let's Circle Up and is in the process of being trained to lead restorative circles at Haverford. Outside of the CPGC, Riley is the editor-in-chief for the Tri-Co Law Review, a PAF, a co-manager of the Haverford Exhibits Program, and an intern for Ms. Magazine and the Feminist Majority Foundation.
Anika Venezia '27
Hi! My name is Anika (she/her). I am from Albany, CA (East Bay) and I plan to major in Sociology with a concentration in Peace, Justice and Human Rights. At the CPGC, I am a student research assistant for the Global Engagement Survey. I’m excited to work with the CPGC to prioritize values and aims of justice and equity within and outside of the Haverford community. Outside of the CPGC, I am a peer mentor and dorm liaison for Haverford Students for Reproductive Health. In my free time, I enjoy sewing, walking the nature trail, and, while at home, playing with my cats.

Jean Wriggins '24
Hi! I’m Jean and I’m from Portland, Maine. I’m a senior and I am double majoring in Spanish and Political Science. Two summers ago, I interned with Grupo de Apoyo Mutuo, a Guatemalan human rights organization, through an international CPGC fellowship. This year, I am very grateful to be working on these fellowship programs as a Civic Engagement Associate! On campus, I am also a TA for the Spanish and Political Science departments and am part of the Customs program. In my free time, I love to bake, go on bike rides, and explore beautiful places, especially in Maine and the Philadelphia area!
