As many of you know, last year, we announced the Academic Clinical Experiences Summer (ACES) Program, a newly-established partnership between Haverford College and Rutgers University-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (RWJMS). This Program aims to facilitate a meaningful and worthwhile transition between Haverford and medical education at RWJMS for socioeconomic and/or educational disadvantaged backgrounds. Students from Princeton University, as well as Bryn Mawr and Swarthmore Colleges, will also be selected to participate in the ACES Program each summer.
The ACES Program provides an intensive summer experience after sophomore year, mentoring, and a conditional acceptance into the medical school, without taking the MCAT or going through the regular application process. There is no charge to the student for the six-week summer program, and there will be a stipend to contribute to living and meal expenses. This partnership represents the College's fifth Medical School Early Assurance Program, but its first with a public medical school. For more information about the ACES Program, please see the attached document.
If you are a first-year student or a sophomore interested in learning more about the ACES Program, please also join us for a Zoom information session this Thursday, December 5 at 5:00pm for all Tri-Co students.
