Pathways to the Major and Minor

All French majors are required to take 10 credits. The minor requires 6 credits. There are various pathways to completing the major or minor, depending on what level you begin with and whether you choose to study abroad.

French major (10 credits)

  • Starting in Elementary French with summer study abroad
    • 001
    • 002
    • 003
    • 004
    • 101
    • 102
    • Study abroad with the Institut d’Avignon 2 credits at 200-level
    • 300-level sequence: minimum of two courses, one of which may be taken outside the department, pending pre-approval of your major advisor (2 credits).
