If you are feeling ill, please stay home! Employees should notify their supervisor and a medical professional. Students should notify Health Services.
Employees
Employees must report any disclosed positive COVID-19 test results to the Office of Human Resources at hc-hr-covidnotify [at] haverford.edu.
- Regardless of vaccination status, you should isolate yourself from others when you have COVID-19. You should also isolate yourself if you are sick and suspect that you have COVID-19 but do not yet have test results. If your results are positive, follow CDC Isolation Guidelines. If your results are negative, you can end your isolation.
- If you test positive for COVID-19, stay home for at least 5 days, with the day you test positive counting as ‘Day 0,” and isolate yourself from others in your home. You are likely most infectious during these first 5 days. For specific precautions during the 5 day isolation, refer to CDC Isolation Guidelines.
- Follow CDC guidance about alerting any individuals who meet the “close contact” definition.
- After you have ended isolation, when you are feeling better (no fever without the use of fever-reducing medications and symptoms improving) - Wear your mask through day 10.
- For further details regarding isolation, please refer to the CDC Guidelines for Isolation Precautions for People with COVID 19.
- Employees required to isolate due to COVID-19 should use the Public Health Illness Leave (PHIL) in Workday, which provides them with paid leave while out sick with COVID.
- Employees who wish to seek ADA Reasonable Accommodations related to Returning to the Workplace should email Donna Hawkins in the Office of Human Resource Donna Hawkins in the Office of Human Resources (dhawkins [at] haverford.edu), or if comfortable, email hc-hr [at] haverford.edu for guidance.
