Call for Nominees: Staff Reps for Vice President of Finance Administration Search Committee
The Staff Association Executive Committee seeks staff representatives to serve on the Vice President of Finance Administration executive search committee. See brief descriptions below. Apply or submit nominees by Friday, August 19!
This fall, Haverford College will begin an executive search for the Vice President of Finance Administration. To self-nominate or nominate someone else to serve or as a staff representative to this search committee, please complete the linked forms by Friday, August 19. Staff members supervised by the Interim VPFA are not eligible to serve as staff representatives on this search committee.
The Office of the Vice President of Finance Administration develops, stewards, and oversees the human, fiscal, and physical resources of the College. The Office establishes financial planning and internal controls in support of the College’s academic mission.
Time Commitment:
Representatives to the VPFA search committee should expect to attend 3-4 meetings this fall, followed by a more intensive time commitment in the winter for candidate interviews (# and duration to be determined by the committee). Staff representatives also serve as members (or ex officio members) of the Staff Association Executive Committee (SAEC) and should plan to attend its monthly meetings during their appointments.
Staff Rep Selection Process:
From the pool of volunteers and nominees, the Staff Association Executive Committee will nominate four (4) staff representatives to serve on the VPFA search committee. The search chair(s) will then select two of the nominees to serve as staff representatives to the committee for the duration of the search.

Any member of the Haverford College Staff Association, as defined by the Staff Association Bylaws, is eligible to be appointed to serve on a College committee, working group, or task force, although some roles have specific requirements that will be outlined in the position description when they are announced. The SAEC supports service to the College by any member of the Staff Association, in any division and in any job category. Staff Association members are encouraged to nominate themselves or others for open positions as appointees are selected from among the volunteers and nominees who have confirmed that they are willing to serve if appointed.
